HKOC World Orienteering Week Fun Day – Free and with prizes!
In response to the International Orienteering Federation's "World Orienteering Week", the Hong Kong Orienteering Club is organizing a free orienteering experience event. Members and non-members of all ages, genders, and those who have never tried orienteering before are welcome to participate.
Date: 23 May 2026 (Saturday) 14:30–16:30
Location: Chai Wan Park – Cheung Man Road Park
Format: Orienteering experience – Cross-country and Score
Prizes: Branded thermal mugs

27th Mr. Paddy Birney Memorial Orienteering Score Event
Dear Members,
As the Lunar New Year approaches, we would like to wish everyone an early "Happy New Year", and wish you "running like flying horses, and punching control points with endless fun."
The "27th Mr. Paddy Birney Memorial Orienteering Score Event" to be held on 15 March 2026 is now open for registration . We, the Hong Kong Orienteering Club (HKOC), sincerely invites all members to form their own teams and register under the name of HKOC. Each team that participates in the event and completes it under the name of HKOC will receive a sponsorship of $50 as encouragement. It is also acceptable even only one of the two team members is our member. We hope this will promote active participation of our members in orienteering activities and help our club achieve good results.
The deadline for registration is 22 February 2026.

Awards: The best 3 runners in each class will be awarded with personal medals. (If entry of a class is less than 3 teams, only the champion will be awarded). In addition, the best HKOC members in the Elite Classes (ME/WE) are entitled to keep the male/female Committee Cup respectively for one year.

The Executive Committee of the Hong Kong Orienteering Club Limited (hereinafter referred to as "the Orienteering Club") deeply regrets to announce that on October 1, 2025, the Executive Committee of the Club received notification from the family of former President, Mr. Lee Chi Kin, that Mr. Lee Chi Kin passed away suddenly on September 30, 2025, after failing to recover from illness.
Mr. Lee Chi Kin was one of the founders of the Orienteering Club and served as the 3rd President. He had tirelessly promoted the sport of orienteering and made significant contributions over the years. In September 2011, he returned to the Orienteering Club's Executive Committee and was once again elected as President, continuing to assist with the Orienteering Club's development and nurturing younger members. He subsequently served multiple consecutive terms as President and was highly respected. Even while hospitalized, he continued to assist with Orienteering Club’s affairs in his capacity as Vice President (Public Relations).
We express our profound sorrow at the passing of Mr. Lee Chi Kin and extend our deepest condolences to his family.
